Saturday July 10, 2010 ~ Harveyville, KS ~ 2nd Annual "Hay Days"
10:30-3:30ish
Come horse friends from all around
HEAR the thundering hooves upon the ground
Oh the SMELL of fresh cut hay
SEE the giants work all day
Colors and breeds galore
Belgians, Percherons and more
TASTE the food at the kitchen tent
FEEL the nostalgia before the day is spent
TOUCH a sweaty neck as he’s at rest
SMELL that perfume of horse; simply the best
HEAR the harness jingle as they walk on by
TASTE salty tears as you silently cry
Cry for memories of days of yore
Cry for a site you see no more
Cry for the thrill they bring inside
Your tears are real, do not hide
Now that we’ve tickled each of your senses
Don’t be held back by any fences
Come out to the field on the 10th of July
Do not let this date slip by
